ER-4S, S is Stereo, the meaning of stereo. The ER4S is designed to compensate for high frequency emphasis in recordings to provide accurate sound reproduction. Performing musicians often use them because the frequency response is similar to that of most monitor speakers. Popular with musicians, recording engineers and audiophiles, the ER4S can be used with a headphone amplifier if desired.

ER4P, P means Portable, which means portable. The ER4P is for sound engineers and audiophiles with a need for portability, and can be used with portable equipment without the need for additional amplifiers. Compared with the ER4S, the output of the ER4P is 10dB higher at high frequencies and 13dB higher at low frequencies, and the ER-4P has high sensitivity.

【Precautions 】

@ Regarding the distinction between left and right: there are faint R and L on the pins of the headset, and then you will find that when worn correctly, the arc of the belly protruding on the pins is toward the front of the face.

@ Regarding the distinction between positive and negative poles: the unit number is facing upwards and plugged into the wire. For er4b, the small triangle is facing upwards. If the polarity is wrong, the sound field will be problematic.

@About wearing posture: It should be like this when wearing it. After the other side lifts the ear, insert the earphone diagonally downward. When the earphone passes the second curve, hold the three-segment sleeve (the eardrum has no negative pressure) and release the ear lift. The hand is very comfortable to wear at this time. Although it’s shameful to posture in public, it’s really cool to do a lot of processes (big mistake). You can practice more and try to find the best position slowly. @About the characteristics of er4: er4 has a very flat frequency response after compensation, which is closer to the three-frequency energy of the real sense of hearing. Fast response, excellent transient, precise sound field positioning and correct tone expression, very analytical for music, which is why it is loved and respected. But maybe it is not such an ordinary sound. The clean and accurate sound often feels that the low frequency is low, the sound is thin and the sound is not good for the preferences of mainstream consumers. In fact, in the music recording and monitoring and reference playback environment, the frequency band energy is also flat, so er4 is more accurate than most in-ear models, because often for consumer preferences, headset manufacturers will add more low frequencies. All in all, er4 has not much low frequency, less volume, and no problem with the texture. The big “boom” energy will be less, the “times” are clearer and cleaner without irritation (laughs). Therefore, it is not suitable for some users who have a large demand for low frequency of music.

@Stethoscope effect: This word refers to the noise caused by the shaking of the wire and the sound transmission. It is similar to the principle of the microphone when playing in childhood. The er4 is a protruding stick. This effect is more obvious, but I now give more clips. As long as the clip is added near the headphone splitter and then clipped on the clothes, the wire shaking will be reduced a lot. As long as it is not worn for sports, daily use will be no problem.

@Wire oxidation problem: The white wire base with the square-core copper-plated silver structure used in the original er4 will oxidize and turn green after a long time. The original factory has a black wire, so I can’t see it. Affect the sound. Greening is related to the humid climate and storage methods. Try to stay away from body fluids and put them in storage boxes to avoid moisture ingress. If you store it correctly, the white thread will last a long time.
